Digital wedding photography
Even though time moves forward, the images of a couple's wedding day can be captured forever; probably the greatest benefit of digital wedding photography is how quickly the couple and guests can see the photos. Although times have changed and it is quite normal to have a DVD made as well, nothing can replace a conventional photo.
This isn't easy; creating that perfect shot if you are taking photographs without help as there is only so much you can do on your own without help. Ensuring photos taken with your digital camera are something special for your friend's or relation on their big day might be a little easier once you have read the tips in this article.
Unless you know how to compensate or have taken the shot purposely for effect; remember the background is very important. If there is a pleasant background but it is hard to focus on the couple, you may find it easier to shoot them from shoulder up.
Try to get guests that have spectacles on to either remove them or hold their head at an angle so that there isn't a reflection obscuring their eyes. If there's a couple or a group that you wish to include in the picture, you should use the zoom function in to get the ideal image but do not shoot against the light so that dark images appear.
Candid shots are also dramatic and these portraits often reveal more than the quality of the picture itself; in fact, many professionals use the zoom to capture intimate and memorable moments. You should be alert at all times when shooting digital wedding photography since you can seldom ask people to keep posing for you and the day is also about spontaneity.
All your efforts will be wasted if you forget to have fresh batteries or carry enough memory for your digital camera to take every image from the day. For 6 mega pixel cameras and up, the absolute bare minimum should be a 1 gigabyte card, preferably 2 gigabytes and always use the highest resolution your camera can manage if the images are to be printed.
The reason you need to set the cameras resolution to the maximum is because the colors will be richer and if you want to enlarge the photos, it won't be a problem. You can do this by saving albums on your personal computer to free up the space on your memory card or burn them to a CD or DVD.
A new generation has grown up not really knowing what film photography is like, so to them digital wedding photography is quite normal.
